Community Events

Throughout the year, I offer occasional community events designed to welcome people living with dementia and their care partners.  These events offer a safe space to connect with others who understand the challenges of living with dementia.

Join Us at a
Memory Cafe

Join us for a welcoming social opportunity for people living with brain changes (due to MCI, Alzheimer’s, or any type of dementia) to attend along with their care partner.

Each month, we’ll enjoy a fun, dementia-friendly activity together as we build community connections.  We meet the 1st Tuesday of each month, from 2:00-3:30pm in the Brooks Room at the Downtown Bend Library.

To Whom I May Concern
Sharing Group

This free 10 week program brings together people diagnosed with brain changes (such as Mild Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer's Disease, or other types of dementia). Participants support each other while sharing their experiences and perspectives on living with brain change. Then, the facilitator will help them share their combined story with an audience of their choosing in order to educate others on what is most important to those living with dementia.

This is your chance for others to hear your voice and to make a difference, both in your future care and in how the community welcomes people facing these challenges.

Contact Patty at DementiaCommunityCircle@gmail.com or at 541-668-7560 for more information or if you would like to participate.
